I like my mirafone 29 over my schilke helleberg but i like the conn helleberg better. the conn and mirafone are aobut the same size, and the schilke is a lot smaller.
smaller gives a sound with more "focus", but it is hard to control, and there is no flexibility--if you miss an attack you are screwed. High range (read-above the staff) is awesome.
larger cup is great all over the scale. high, low, in between. You can lip anything in tune, and a flubbed attack can be caught and fixed w/o too much damage.
I guess you could say I like alrge cup MP's.
