The advantage of owning your own instrument is that you can set it up anyway you like. While moving the leadpipe on a silver plated horn isn't easy, it can be done. A good repairman will be able to move the leadpipe to where you want it with minimal damage to the silverplate. It won't look like factory new when finished but it should look passable. This would also be true if you moved the leadpipe on a used horn. Just FYI.
