Unless I'm mistaken, this was the type of instrument Mark Mordue used in a performance at the Army conference a year and a half ago. If so, then his example provides a countering example to your comments. He had one of the best and most beautiful performances at that conference, despite reaching around the front and pulling slides a couple of times on selected low notes. I heard no indication that the horn could not handle a healthy airflow.
