In all of the thousands of dollars that my music store has donated to band programs over the years, I don't recall having received one letter of thanks from a band director, band booster officer, parent, nor student.
Forget the worthless-items-selling (fundraising) and the business-begging (since you don't appreciate it) and get off ze butz and do some of that "heaven forbid - work" stuff.
