I have a 1927 Conn 26K Eb sousaphone, a lacquered model. I removed the dents and had the valves rebuilt, and it is a very solid instrument. It uses the same neck as the Conn BBb sousaphones, and one tuning bit. Mine plays quite well in tune, and has a good sound. As Klaus alluded to in his posting, these sousas weigh about as much as a BBb.
