I typed "cryogenic" into the BBS search feature and got 89 hits.
My impression, from reading a sample of the threads, is that it's in the same category as magnet therapy and astrology: Lots of people claim it's great, but there is no scientific basis, either in theory or in experiment. There is, of course, the ever-popular placebo effect.
