Pistons and their casings are simple geometric figures - cylinders. I can fix those fairly quickly. Further, front-action piston tubas tend to put the delicate stuff out of harm's way quite well.

Please don't show me your jacked-rotors WWBW rotary Miraphone or TE St. Pete in during some "rush" period of the school year (rental / Xmas concert / honor band tryouts / honor band concerts / spring concert / rental return / summer repairs) and ask me to screw around with a bent rotor stem, jacked casing, or chinked rotor (dropped on the floor by Dr. Dumbass in the back of Guitars-R-US.

Buy the King 4V front-action tubas for a little over $4k ea. with cases. The parts (in case of emergencies) are made in OHIO for C****t's sake.
