I'd have to agree with Chuck on this one, unless your child is small in stature for his age. The King 2341 is a great choice. He may never have to get another horn, unless he wants to switch to CC. If he is small, and/or money is a major consideration, you might consider the Weril. The King is a MUCH better instrument. He could easily use the King the rest of his life in just about any setting. If becomes a serious,dedicated player, only then would I recommend checking into CC and F tubas. Good luck.
