I insist ALL my students, regardless of age or ability, get the Rubank Book 1 TRUMPET edition to learn treble clef. It goes slow enough to get the hang of playing in treble clef and it has some nice tunes. A GREAT teaching tool. All my students play equally in bass and treble clef from the get go.
