Intonation was not an issue the best I can remember, it was a long time ago. I only played the York that Jacobs kept, not the one he sold and got back. I remember EVERYTHING working like it was "supposed" to.
However, the most remarkable thing was the wonderful sound it made. I've played horns that were equal in many ways but nothing has ever matched the sound.
