...to Chicago in a few years, but the CSO played their season at Medina during the year that Orchestra Hall was being turned into Symphony Center (late 90's?). I'm pretty sure that it's still there. I heard an incredible Mahler 5th there. Gene played his little solo in the first movement, and the yuppie couple in front of me turned to each other with their mouths open in awe. It was one of the greatest single moments of tuba playing I have ever heard, or expect to hear.
