To friends and students of Ed Livingston. As many of you know, much of the prize money at the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival is donated by friends and/or instrument manufacturers. A couple of years ago, we started sponsoring the Ed Livingston Tribute prize. It goes to the second place finalist of the student tuba division. It was a way to honor two extraordinary teachers, Mr. Falcone, and "Mr. Ed." Ed has many former students in the military bands and orchestras and universitites throughout the world. If you are a former student, or know of how I can reach them, please email me personally. We are asking for small donations from everyone, which is tax deductible. Rex Martin, another Ed Livingston student shares this effort with me. By the way, Mr. Livingston retired from Illinois state a few years ago, and lives with his wife and two daughters on Washington Island, Wisconsin. Thanks for your help.
