The New England Brass Band is an all-volunteer 30 piece brass and percussion ensemble "In The British Tradition" which members share a high level of commitment and artistry. Douglas Yeo, bass trombonist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra is the band's Music Director; Terry Everson, professor of trumpet at Boston University is the band's Principal Cornetist and Assistant Conductor. The band has an active performing and recording schedule; it rehearses weekly on Monday nights from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Congregational Church in Wilmington, Massachusetts (north of Boston on Route 62 in Wilmington, exit 40 west off Interstate 93). In recent years the NEBB has given 7-8 concerts each season, has travelled to the North American Brass Band Association's National Championships in Washington DC and Little Rock, Arkansas, toured to New York City and New Jersey, performed concerts in Boston's Symphony Hall and in New England from Maine to the Berkshires of Massachusetts, and has an annual recording session in Symphony Hall. The NEBB has produced two compact disc recordings with a third in preparation. Its members come from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island.

Auditions will be held at the Wilmington Congregational Church.

Members of the band play instruments designed for British Brass Band use; candidates auditioning for the solo cornet position must play a B flat cornet; candidates auditioning for the tuba position are requested to use a BB flat bass if at all possible. All candidates should be aware that the band's music, as is the tradition with brass band music, is written in B flat and BB flat treble clef.
