On topic first: That's why I got the BSEE at the age of 39. Although there were many years at the beginning of computers when IBM was very happy to hire musicians for programmers, because they found that they made good ones.
Off topic: Alamagordo symphony? Didn't know there was one!! Did you go to school in Las Cruces? (I always referred to it as Alagomuerto....)
