All who have heard the Asbury Brass Quintet, which is quite good. The recording they have made with the Bozza Sonatine and Oskar Bohme Sextet in Eb minor. Bud Herseth actually plays lead on the Bohme and Charles Schuchat plays Tuba. Do you believe its cool to take things down an octave in places especially in the Bohme. The first time I listened to it I thought it was really clean playing but after repeated listening I found Charles playing to be a little ragged sometimes. Don't get me wrong he's great, but I believe the Bohme should be played like Arnold Jacobs did the way it's written. Thank you guys I don't mean to cause any trouble with this question just a personal opinion or standardized rule!!
Thanks
