I have a horn that has the gap receiver, the reversed slides, and cryo-treated. All was done by the previous owner. The gap receiver doesn't change the sound, just the change of gap with different mouthpieces. More a feel issue than sound. The reversed slides- ?? on the sound change, same with the cryo-treatment. If I would have bought it new, I would have left it stock. To each there own.
