Al Cass is (I think?) designed for use on trumpet pistons. If so, does it provide you with optimum peformance on your tuba pistons or rotars? In my opinion, no it doesn't. As I posted below, I had a nasty experience with so-called 'odourless' Al Cass turning the innards of my instrument into something that smelt (and tasted) like an oil refinery! That's the reason I stopped using it. I've since swapped over to Hetman and Yamaha oils which, although more expensive, don't smell and seem to last a millenium (there's that damn M word!) and provide superior performance.

But, if you're happy with the performance Al Cass provides on your horn, who am I to say otherwise!

Good Luck,
Tommo
