Ii is nice to see someone else who had / has a 190. They are pretty rare. What year was yours made? Is it a BBb or CC? I hever had many intonation problems on mine (BBb), as a matter of fact it was one of the most in tune tubas I played. I would use a C4 for bright playing and a helleberg style for orchestra / band stuff. I even used a very drilled out Bach 18 for a deeper sound with less overtone. I don't like the C3 on it, but that may be just me.
