It is a CC 5 valve tuba. 4 piston 1 rotary valve operated by the right hand. I don't have any pictures of it at the moment, they are being developed, I should have them up with in the next week. As to if it is a good instrument. Go to www.meinl-weston.com and read about it under the instrument catagory as well as in the news articles. It is a Warren Deck designed tuba. It is a very versitile instrument. I have played it in everything from a 100 piece orchestra to 70 piece wind ensemble, on solo literature and in my quintet. If you happen to be at the MENC conference next week, on Friday, March 10 at 12 noon, I will be playing it in the "Royal Brass" quintet premiering a new piece entitled "Impressions." The piece won 1st place in the chamber music composition competition for young composers. thanks for the interest.
