none of the 2100 series horns has had a standardized valve set ... rumor has it they've all settled into a fairly large, albeit "long throw" or "tall" set, but unless they are using a valve set they have control over manufacturing (i.e. "their own") then they pretty much have to take whatever their supplier sends them. The sets from their old supplier are known to be very very good. Their own manufacture sets were rumored to be heavy, sticky, and obround. So the answer to your question is "it depends" on when your specific tuba was made (in this case the 2155) and what valve set was used on it. I know this doesn't help any, but see what tyhe set is like on the horn(s) you are considering and take it from there. MW 2100-series horns are NOT good horns to buy sight-unseen, you NEED to play test as many as possible to be happiest with the one you select, if you select one after playing them.
