Depends... I played this for an audition recently and probably took it at about 62 or 64, but what matters most is to choose the tempo where you can make the most out of the phrases and the line. The Bernstein/NYPO recording is about 54, and that's really slow (but really really good). Generally, the range should be about 54-66
