Next year, if you care to audition, you will need some very strong recommendations from some very well-known (well-known to Mr. Deck, I would say) personae, the $teep non-refundable application fee, and a "safe harbor" in Manhattan (a Juilliard student, in whose dorm room you could "crash" would be ideal).

From the once or twice that I have come in direct contact with Mr. Deck (I am not personally acquainted with him at all.), I would say that he would be the least likely of any of the Juilliard faculty to be guilty of "cronyism" as far as the acceptance of students is concerned. My belief is that if you laid all of the proper groundwork, auditioned for him during a year that an opening was available, absolutely "blew him away", and had the $$,$$$ to "do the dance", you would be in.

Remember, Juilliard only allows individuals to apply TWO times for acceptance. Once turned down a second time, one may never audition again.
