E-mail me sometime this week, and I should have cost info.

This MW tuba....also called Fafner...is really more like a Miraphone 190 than the 189. The Fafner and the 190 are built with the long bell design. (The bell is long and extends a ways above the top bow....unlike the compact horns that are on the market today) This is part of what adds to the character of the sound. The 189 has a top bow that is higher. This is because of the valve set. The way the valves are positioned, the top bow has to be higher or the slides would stick out too far with nothing to back them up or attach to.

Hopefully someone that is at the Music Fair in Germany will be able to play this at the Meinl Weston....Melton....uh, Wenzel Meinl booth and tell us what they think. I didn't have much time on the prototype, but what time I did get was quite enjoyable.

Hope this helps!

Take care!
