I stopped in at Dillon's yesterday and tried out the King prototype. I have to add my voice to those who have praised this horn. It's a nice compact horn with a big, clear sound. I found the playing position as comfortable as anything I have played. What surprised me was how easy the low end was, all the way down to the pedal Bb. I played a M-W 25 and the Cerveny 701 side by side with it, and the King has every bit as full a low range. If I were in the market for a new tuba, and this were available I would definitely get one.
