The answer is obvious. Mr. Bishop, being the legendary artist that he is, long ago learned that one does not get to his level without learning to overcome the inadequacies of the particular instrument being played. He was therefore perhaps too good to get anything "farty" sounding from the Yamaha, whose 621 series I understand is being renamed the "Breakwind" line in honor of this unique quality. I got rid of my 621 CC many years ago, but on those extraordinarily rare occasions that I miss that "special" sound, I have a can of S&W "San Antonio Beans", wait two hours, and take a nice, long hot bath. The result may not be musical, but it certainly is onomatopoetic.
