Jay and Sean, you are right on the money . I would ask you to read the subject of the thread carefully - "....audition open(high salary)" . You say this is good money "anywhere" but is it really? Have you ever been to Tokyo or Hong Kong? If you had, you would realize that 65K is no where near a "high salary" or even a comfortable one to live in cities such as these. Expect to pay half of that salary for a very small apartment. A car would be out of your reach. Also consider taxes. I'd bet that they haven't decreased since the Beijing government assumed ownership.
By all means, take auditions seriously, practice dilligently. But also be realistic and practical........
