Hi Mary Ann,

I haven't tried the 3/4 CC tuba. I'd bet the F will have a lighter sound, and the upper register will probably be easier. But the YFB-621 also has a great low register, and is a very "responsive" tuba. Its voice, however, does have a lighter quality. You'll see when it arrives.

Have a look at the type of music you play. If there are lots of upper register notes, consider the F. If you want a lighter sound, consider the F. If you need to play lots of lower register notes, and want to play them without using 4th valve (or 5th) too much, consider the CC.

Regardless, you *can* master the fingerings. But the CC will be easier with the low register fingerings. And the F may play a little easier up high. I'd say pick the kind of sound you want as the primary thing, unless they're close, or unless one horn plays much more easily than the other. Then flip a coin?

Good luck!
