call me extreme, but I took the "alternate" more expensive route because I am afraid to fly... Furthermore, I am super paranoid of having my horn out of a hard case to bring it home for breaks, so even if it were in one, I couldn't imagine trusting it to an airline.
Maybe it's just 'cause I paid $14000, $5000 above average i guess...
but I have to admit, otherwise it would make a great trip. I can hear it: "what'd you do this weekend?" and my response: "went to Europe to buy a horn." Gotta love that (:
I was in the middle of school, and only had a couple of weeks, no time to book a freighter... otherwise i would have been there, if nothing else for the trip!
