NO, I do mean add three sharps. Let's take a case in point.

Bass clef is written in Eb major (3 flats) +3 sharps -> treble in C major. Play this now TC part with trumpet fingerings and you get (ta-da!) something in Eb major.

Now, here's a twist. Suppose you know "native" Eb BC fingerings and a friend (who reads only TC) shows up with his euph and the big red TC Arban book and asks if you want to play duets with him. You take out the euph you keep handy, add 3 flats to the Arban TC key signatures and play the euph with Eb BC fingerings. It's a real mind-bender, but it works, it really does...
