Rose and red are shadings of red.

Gold brass actually is quite like gold in appearance. When freshly polished.

Yellow is yellow even if aging laquer might darken it.

Lacquer can blur the appearance right out of the factory, if pigments have been added.

King has intensified the golden look of some of its B series trombones by means of pigmented laquer. I do not like that practise, but my sample of this still is a very well sounding instrument.
