I would agree w/the 7/8 designation in terms of sound potential . . .

But 3/4 for its 'actual' size; all the dimensions before that final 18" flare. The flare is real quick.

The bell throat & bottom bow are pretty small (drop a mute in one & see), and the taper of the horn is quite gradual. It doesn't reach an I.D. ("bore") of .750 until four feet after the mouthpiece. Some "3/4" horns reach this bore within the first 24".
