My personal opinion is that, with both the Miraphone and Cerveny Oval Euphs, their sound is the euph equivalent of a "German Tuba" sound. The bore is a little smallish on them, but (to my ear) the sound has more "character" than most Brit or American horns. (Character being "what I like to hear in the sound"). Cervany's, as I understand, are fairly consistant. No, they're not Willson, they're not Yamaha, and they're not Hirshbrunner, but don't let that stop you from trying one out.
