Perhaps I am missing something here. Isn't this the same UMI that makes the King Silver Satin Sousaphones? Those horns have a great finish on them.

That doesn't make a lot of sense from a business standpoint. The way I see it, they should make all of their bass brass at the same facility. That way they can much more easily maximize the strengths of each design and minimize the weaknesses. I would think it would improve the quality of all their designs.
