Funny, I was also a steady subscriber from 1981-91 and then dropped my subscription. I feel one of the problems of the journal is its layout-graphic design. When I look at the old journals, especially the octavo sized ones used until August, 1984) they were much easier to read. Now the advertisements dominate the page and give the appearance that there are no articles! I also think it would be better to put the Japanese translations in a separate section of the journal. It's just difficult visually, as it is now presented, IMO. Please don't accuse me of being "anti-multicultural"; I think that the Japanese readers might prefer it that way, too! I offer all of this in the spirit of constructive criticism. Let's appreciate the fact that there IS a journal!
