Congrats! You are the only person I know how has a horn precisely like mine. It is a Hirsbrunner HB5. (This used to be the standard Navy Band instrument.) The fifth valve lowers the pitch 1 1/2 steps. I tune it to the D in the register since that note (usually played open) is grossly flat on the HP5. For other fingerings, get out your tuner and see what works. There are some squirrely notes in the basement.
Also, make sure your valves have been lapped. They have a tendency to freeze in hot weather. (This thread is well world on the discussion list.)
