Any recent Mirafone 186 CC will satisfy your needs. I've known several people who play it in all sorts of ensembles (quintets, bands, orchestras, a few do solos, one pro uses it frequently in an orchestra). The tuning is almost always excellent, the valves are very fast, the price can't be beat (around $4500 at WW&BW), and it can sound as big as any 6/4 in a concert hall with the right mouthpiece. Of course this isn't exactly a substitute for a 5/4 horn since the shear mass of sound can't really be made up, but it can sound just as big. Good luck.
