I find that mouthpiece work helps a little. Gliss up as far as you can go on the mouthpiece, and then put it in the horn _while_ you're playing the highest pitch you can get. You will _have_ to use more air to get the horn to play that same note. In this way you can learn what air it takes to play the higher notes on the horn.
This is should be along with everything else that everybody else has suggested, all of which is good. It is just an interesting exercise to show you what air has to do with it all.
