Thanks for the information. I've been able to locate shop you mentioned in Michigan, but I haven't been able to find the Brasswind shop you mentioned being in South Bend. Do you have any contact information (url, phone, etc.)?
I appreciate your comments on getting a quality instrument. My son was fortunate to have access to a new top quality instrument provided by his high school, but now I'm trying to figure how to pay for his own instrument. I was hoping to be in the 4k range, but it seems like the only places I can find that price range is via the internet where the tuba is so far away we haven't access to try it out (without spending several hundred $$ travelling)! Anyway, thanks again for your input.
