How does the horn play? If you coat the valves with thicker oil (sewing machine oil), does it play better? I don't mean, "Well, I think it plays better." Your reaction should be something like, "Good greif, this horn plays so much better." Then you know it needs a valve job. The tighest valves in the world do me no good if they don't come back up quickly. There will be some air leakage with functional valves. If you still believe you need a valve job, then talk to the dealer who sold you the new horn. Manufacturers want you to be, within reason, happy with their product. If you bought it from me, give me a call at the store. Matt
