I am a owner of a YBB103. I agree that the horn is a little sharp but you just have to pull the slides. I sometimes use a Sousaphone bit and don't have to pull the slides as much. I have a Dixieland band and all our performances are standing the instrument weighs 13lbs and is good for that. I also play in a concert band and I would like a larger bore instrument . I am using the Yamaha in the concert band but for my liking it is a litle small. Also the mouthpiece I am using is a Marcinkiewicz N3 and a H4 which both work well.
