What did Vince tell you that was good about the St Pete 202L? And where did good things come to be told about longevity on the St Pete line? It would be hard to believe that there is longevity there. Has anyone on the board had them longer than 4 to 5 years?

What condition are the ones that are 5 years old? Has anyone here had one longer than 5 years?

The 202L is new so where is longevity there? Or does someone telling you that certain things have changed make it so. Thinness of metal and lack of bracing and solid soldering is what worries me as to longevity.

The 101 is a Hilgers style BBb, solid with the only problem being tall with a 16 1/2 in. bell, which makes it tip a little easier.
The 2103 is like a PT1 well made with a 17 3/4 in. bell and standard linkage.
The 186 and 191 S and Pro Miraphones are solid tubas and the 186 is in it's 57th year. The 191 is in its 4th year but a solid tuba and will be around for a while. Both and all rotor Miraphones have incredibly fast rotors.
The Yamahas are built well but lack in areas of piston problems and the 641 tends to have intonation problems in the upper and lower register with heavy rotors and slow linkage.
All of the above, 101, 2103, 186 and 191 play very well and solid and with good intonation and longevity of longer than you will probably want to play them.
