I agree with gig bag idea. Both my electric bass and my tuba always go in bags(except on planes). It seems to me that a gig bag also prevents theft, because when I have the instrument, I know where it is. A case seems to give people the idea that it is indestructable and can go in a bus, in a taxi's trunk, in a truck, or god knows where, but with the bag (which keeps the size down also), I'm always able to bring it on the bus or with me wherever I want to go, and other people seem to be afraid of touching it, which is fine by me. But hey, if you have a big car and only drive to your gigs, and like to carry that huge thing, my hat is off to you. Peace. ASG
