There is a newly released collection of 20th century brass ensemble music as played by the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble. All of the pieces were previously released on LPs (some on CD) in the late '60s, '70s, and '80s. This is a 2 CD set on Decca titled "The 20th Century Album" and of course features the exquisite artistry of John Fletcher. If you remember these recordings from the old days here they are now on CD. If you are not familiar with John Fletcher's playing then go immediately to your nearest record store and get this. You won't be sorry.
