I play on a Marcinkiewicz CH-H1, and I like it fine. I played a Conn Helliburg before I had it, and once I switched, I didn't have quite as good of a high register (but it got better as I played it) but the sound to me seemed darker at high volume levels. I was able to play louder without it blasting, probably because the added mass vibrates less. I also like how I sound in the low register on it better. Now I don't know about all the science behind it, it may very well be all a bunch of bull, but I still like the mouthpiece. I have never played a regular H1, but I sure like my CH-H1. Also it looks real cool.
