I got my 2145 last July, and it was great up until December, when (in Georgia) the temperatures started to drop. For a couple of months it was all I could do to play in tune, at least for the first 20-25 minutes of practice. I guess it took that long to get the thick brass warmed up, but it was pretty disconcerting (the horn was playing 20 cents flat). The PT-4 may be the same way--I guess their construction is similar.
Question: Is that hypothesis correct? Should I try harder to keep it in a heated space?
