Joe, if the man is worshipping the God he loves, with the horn he loves, why offer him encouragement with the right hand and slap him with the left?

No other music is closer to my heart than hymns played by a brass choir. Remember the old David and Goliath claymation program on Sunday morning? That was put on by The Lutheran Hour and at the beginning and end of the program was a tinny brass rendition of A Mighty Fortress. I must have been all of 3-4 years old when I heard that but it was enough to make a brass player for life out of me. Oh we can talk about the Lebedev, the Hindemith, Nelhybel, Gordon Jacob, Arbans, valve dimensions, The Canadian Brass, etc ad infinitum but what really is more important than worship?
