That thought brings to mind a solution 8).
At outdoor sports shops (EMS, REI, etc.) they sell plastic bags for water with a plastic tube and a bite valve on the end for what is currently known as "hydration" (drinking water). One could secure the bag in back of the tubing and run the tube with bite valve near the mouthpiece. Then, viola! 8), blow a note...take a sip...blow...sip... ...

Of course, if you were to play a sousaphone, I've found that a quart of beer sits nicely in the mouthpipe braces.
