Just because you've never heard of somebody doesn't mean they can't teach. I've had lessons with Mr. Kaenzig and he is one of the best teachers I've ever experienced, as well as one of the nicest people I know. Not to mention that his students are constantly being ranked among the top at competitions and doing well at auditions.

Elliot - My recommendation would be to try to schedule a lesson with each of them and make your decision after that. Would you buy a horn without playing it first? And, I must say, choosing your teacher will have much more of an influence on your playing than a choice in a tuba.
