Absolutely not.

The last thing anyone would want to do would be to eject the conductor away from the podium. He or she could easily land in the audience, causing injuries (and their accompanying lawsuits), and allowing the ranting conductor to remain in the public eye so that he or she may continue the tirade. Or, if landing in the orchestra, instruments would be damaged (although they would likely be middle strings or woodwinds, so who cares anyway), and again the conductor would be able to cry foul.

I propose that the ejection should happen in the opposite direction -- through the floor. Get him the heck out of there, and use a remotely-controlled baton attached to the music stand to run the performance.

Whatever happens to the highly immature conductor afterward isn't going to be up to me, that's for sure -- the bugger probably wouldn't be able to walk again if I had any choice.
