Army Ground Forces Band TEC

The Army Ground Forces Band appears to have figured out the formula for a successful Tuba-Euphonium Conference. This year's event was held at the State University of West Georgia. Facilities were very nice, and there seems to be a good fit.

The 2-day program was jam packed with the usual mix of masterclasses, recitals, and concerts. The exhibits were very small, but well done (the upcoming ITEC in Greensboro probably kept some folk away).

Many key personell are leaving (moving on to bigger things), so this is a critical time for this TEC. If the new folk are committed to running similar events, my prediction is that in 2 years this will be a well-known "must do" conference for all tuba/euphonium fans in the SouthEast.

And...I can happily report that the mis-communication problems with the local hotels (NOT the fault of the Army Band!) were eventually ironed out.

Well done.
